In 2025 in collaboration with the City of Amsterdam we are conducting a study on the city's nightlife culture and community needs. The goal is to gain a clearer understanding of the kind of nightlife culture Amsterdam and Weesp residents desire, where they go out in the city, and what they feel is missing from the current offerings.
The aim is to conduct comprehensive research into residents' needs regarding nightlife culture. The study will examine, district by district, how people value the city's nightlife, how they use existing venues, how safe they feel at night, and what they want or feel is missing in terms of nightlife culture. This research is part of the measures outlined in the Nightlife Culture Implementation Agenda 2023–2026.

“Amsterdam’s nightlife culture is unique. At night, creators and visitors can experiment, be themselves, and grow. This results in a diverse range of offerings, making our nightlife culture culturally and socially of exceptionally high quality. However, nightlife culture is also under pressure. The city is growing, and space is becoming scarcer. Amsterdam strives for a good balance between vibrancy and livability. The input of Amsterdam residents is crucial in achieving this.”— Alderman Meliani, Arts and Culture
